Bloomberg Electronic Markets has executed its first fully automated Japanese Government Bond (JGB) Market-on-Close trade, marking a significant step in modernizing fixed-income trading infrastructure in Japan, the company announced October 4, 2026.
The new workflow aligns with BB3P, known as Hikene Trading, the established Market-on-Close reference rate for Japanese government bonds. The automation is designed to streamline a process that had previously required greater manual intervention at the close of trading sessions.
